Foster Applications Being Accepted for Turner County Rescue Dogs
Foster Application Form
Update: We are in need of foster homes as we have more puppies from the dogs involved in the Turner County Rescue. We also need donated items: straw bales, blankets, toys, & Purina Puppy Chow.
We are accepting applications for individuals or families that are interested in fostering puppies from the Turner County Dog Rescue that took place in early September. Please fill out an application and return it to Second Chance. Even if you have a foster application on file with SCRC, please fill out this application and return to our office. Call 605.362.1722 if you have questions.
SCRC Calendars Now Available
You can now purchase a Second Chance Rescue Center Calendar for $10. The photos are of our wonderful SCRC pets from this past year. (Thanks to Sisson Printing for their services).

Meet Willy!
Our Featured Pet
Willy is a lab mix and he is 2 years old. He has been at SCRC since June and would love to have a family to love. He is a beautiful dog with the coolest fur with highlights of brown that shine in the sun bringing out his brilliant gold eyes. Willy loves to go for walks and will pull at first, but once he knows that he is going to get some attention he is happy and very attentive dog. He is a people dog and loves being around them. Willy is very close to being house trained (if he isn't already) as he keeps his kennel clean. He likes older kids and other dogs and LOVES to be talked to. When he is out with you he will look back at you often to make sure you are still there and after checking out all the smells he's just a big cuddly teddy bear. Willy is a little on the thin side because of nervous energy in the kennel. Once he is out and has expended some of that energy he's really a mellow dog who loves to hang out. Willy is one of those dogs that doesn't appeal to the average person looking for a pet because he is so active in the kennel, but if you have some time to get to know him, you'll find that he would make a wonderful companion.
Foster Homes Needed
We currently have mama dogs and cats with their litters who are in need of foster homes. If you are interested in fostering please call the shelter at 362-1722. These mamas do so much better with their pups and kittens in an environment that isn't quite as noisy as the shelter.
Thank You!
Thank you to everyone for your continued support of Second Chance Rescue Center. Please check our events page for upcoming events that we would love to have you join us at. We have a lot of fun upcoming Holiday events!
