Make Your Gift Giving Count!
Give to your family and friends and you'll be giving to our animals.
Are you an internet shopper? Every time you make a purchase from one of the 1,000+ partner merchants through GoodShop, SCRC earns money! The more you shop, the more our pets benefit! When doing your Holiday shopping this year go to www.goodshop.com (or click on the logo), enter "Second Chance Rescue Center" in the box and shop like normal. You can even keep track of how much SCRC earns as people like you shop the internet together. SCRC can also earn money every time you surf the web. Download the GoodSearch toolbar and you will be giving to our animals daily! To learn more click here.
Horses Available
for Adoption
SCRC has 6 horses who are available for permanent homes. There are 2 colts, 2 mares, a 2 year old gelding and Blink. Blink is a 17 year old, broke to ride mare. She has been on trail rides and rides well. Blink is a large horse who loves treats. She has only one eye, but that doesn't stop her from trotting right up when you call her name. Please call 605-362-1722 and talk to Rosey if you're interested in seeing the animals.
Foster Applications Being Accepted for Turner County Rescue Dogs
Update: We are in need of foster homes as we have more puppies from the dogs involved in the Turner County Rescue. We also need donated items: straw bales, blankets, toys, & Purina Puppy Chow.
We are accepting applications for individuals or families that are interested in fostering puppies from the Turner County Dog Rescue that took place in early September. Please fill out an application and return it to Second Chance. Even if you have a foster application on file with SCRC, please fill out this application and return to our office. Call 605.362.1722 if you have questions.

This is Tizzy!
Our Featured Pet
Tizzy is a medium haired cat who is 2 years old. She has been here since the beginning of August and she still hasn't found her forever home. She is a beautiful cat who is very playful and affectionate. She is talkative and will ask for attention. She also likes to follow you around as she swishes her extra long tail. She's a beauty when she poses for the camera. She puts her two front feet together just so, wraps her tail around to the front and poses with her head held high showing her gorgeous mane and her beautiful coloring. She likes to snuggle with people who visit on the sofa and today, she just felt like taking a nap and dreaming about those things cats dream about. She has been microchipped for extra piece of mind and she's eager to meet you. Just pet her head to let her know you came to see her.
